The power steering system requires a special mineral hydraulic fluid, Audi
part number G 002 000. This is Pentosin 11S, affectionately called 'green gold'
because of its color (green) and price (high). To fill the power steering system,
fill the reservoir to the 'MAX' mark on the dipstick (approx. 0.85 liters/28 oz),
then with the wheels pointed straight ahead, start the engine and let it idle for
approximately two minutes -- the power steering system will bleed itself, so watch
the reservoir and when bubbles stop coming through the fluid, the system is bled.
Top off the reservoir if necessary.
