Note that depressed area between the orange arrows is shaped like an inverted "L". The left edge has a large bump that makes the depression narrow. The bump is right under the left arrow mark. See the next picture for a better view of the "L" shape. This transmission could have a wide 1st gear, this center case section does have internal clearance to fit a wide 1st gear. NOTE - Just because the case had the bump does not always mean that a wide 1st gear was installed. You should also look at the transmission type code on the bottom.
