Glyptal first coat...

Here's the IM lower half after it's first coat of Glyptal. The bottom 'grid' floor may get as many as 4 coats to bring the square centers almost up to flush with the raised grid providing for a smoother surface thats more thickly insulated from the heat source below. Everything else will only get this single coat tho tomorrow I'll touch up and cut in some fine detailing around the primary inlets with a small, artist type brush. Just have to wait 24 hours between coats.

I know I lost a lot of you on the Glyptal thing initially but this should provide for a very smooth, low-pressure area that allows air to slide around a lot of obstacles easier. One thing I do know; no matter how long this intake is on the car, the next person who separates the IM top/bottom halves will be able to wipe it clean with a paper towel.

Now... I'm thinking a 2" thick filet I can cut with a fork and a couple Pilsner Urquell's or some fretfully hot pork & chicken Adobada with a couple gold margaritas. What say thee collectively?
