Hi-flow Airbox Workshop; Part 2 conclusion...

This and the next pic will be the conclusion of part 2. Basically this is after 1 coat of the urethane flexible putty which must now be sanded in preparation for the 2nd coat. Same treatment inside and out but this is pretty much the last of Velocity Stack mounting, filling in and sealing aspect of the workshop. Once 2nd layer of putty is applied it will then be sanded "semi-smooth" to give the paint a good tooth. I'll likely start out with 2 coats of aerosol truck bed liner spray to help fill in about 20% of the roughness that will remain in this putty after sanding. Due to liner spray being so heavy-bodied it makes a great filler/glide coating that will fill in and flow to a very decent smooth surface in the urethane putty. Later the commercially applied bed liner treatment will will completely smooth out any surface irregularities remaining in the area I spray here with bed liner aerosol.

Because this putty starts to set up and harden in 5 minutes you can only mix and apply approx 1 teaspoon at a time.

Part 3 will cover paint and other post-putty activities.
